While America pauses today to remember the courageous efforts of men like George Washington, Ben Franklin, and John Adams in their penning and battling to achieve our Independence from the tyrant King George I will be at work. 

    While America at large is cooking out on their grills, swimming in their pools and enjoying time with their families I will be celebrating one of America’s greatest institutions wrought in the blood of the before mentioned patriots, capitalism.

    How exciting is it to be involved in such a movement! I will be at work instead of playing with my kids. I will be inside a fluorescent illuminated store instead of outside in the fresh air tossing a football or swimming.

    This may sound like a rant or complaint. It is not! While you saps are out at the park playing frisbee golf or working on your suntan I will be earning time and a half for hours worked plus eight hours of holiday pay for doing little more than nothing because all the other Americans will expecting me to be doing the same thing they are.
